Supplements that really help to suppress appetite

If your goal is to suppress your appetite to lose weight, there are several natural and safe supplements you can try.

It’s true, Americans are fighting a fierce battle against obesity. Statistics tell us that approximately 70% of the U.S. adult population is overweight.

Unfortunately, few people realize that many over-the-counter (OTC) and prescription weight loss medications are not very effective and that some can actually be dangerous.

A good guide to healthy, permanent weight loss should address a person’s needs on many levels, including diet, level of physical activity, emotional state, hormone levels and other factors that affect body weight.

But there is a unique weapon in the fight against excess body weight: the use of specific nutritional supplements.

Plants and other natural substances in the form of supplements can be used to reduce a person’s appetite.

Many times you can also help reduce food cravings and speed up metabolism with a selection of natural, non-toxic supplements.

NO MORE OVEREATING

It doesn’t take a doctor to know that a very powerful way to successfully lose weight is to eat less, but it’s much easier said than done.

This is why appetite suppressants are very useful – even vital – for people who have difficulty reducing caloric intake.

The reasons for overeating vary.

It is a perennial plant from Africa and parts of Asia. One of the most widely used medicinal plants in Thailand. Research says that when combined with a healthy diet, it can help suppress appetite and burn fat.

In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled human trial, the results showed that the group receiving Cissus Quadrangularis lost 187 percent more weight than the group receiving placebo.

In another eight-week, randomized, double-blind trial, the first group received a placebo, the second group took a Cissus Quadrangularis supplement only, and the third group followed a diet and took a daily Cissus Quadrangularis supplement.

The results showed that both groups taking the Cissus Quadrangularis supplement lost significant amounts of weight.

They were also able to reduce their blood pressure, blood sugar, triglycerides and cholesterol.

While these findings are surprising, it is important to remember that Cissus Quadrangularis helps to reduce weight in overweight and obese people…

Now, a new study says that for appetite suppression and weight loss Cissus Quadrangularis works best when combined with Irvingia Gabonensis.

Irvingia Gabonensis

A species of slender, evergreen tree that grows in certain parts of Africa.

These trees produce a very rare fruit about 10 centimeters in diameter. And now some researchers believe that the seed extract of these peculiar fruits are the best solution for people who want to lose weight.

Let’s see why: the Irvingia Gabonensis fruit naturally contains a type of soluble fiber that scientists call IGOB131®. And, according to seven different scientific publications, the IGOB131® found in the seeds of this fruit has the unique ability to suppress hunger and moderate appetite.

This is what the scientific literature says:

“A 10-week, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial involved 102 healthy, overweight individuals divided into two groups. Participants in the group that received 150 mg of IGOB-131® every day, 30-60 minutes before lunch and dinner, increased levels of leptin, a hormone capable of suppressing appetite, and adiponectin, a protein that regulates glucose levels and breaks down fatty acids.

What does it all mean? It’s very simple. It means that now, finally, thanks to this discovery you can drastically reduce the amount of food you eat and control your appetite.

Fiber. One of the simplest and least expensive ways to decrease appetite is to increase the amount of fiber in your diet.

Insoluble fiber, which is not absorbed in the digestive tract, is an excellent choice. It is found in most vegetables, especially leafy greens and fruits. To easily increase your intake of insoluble fiber, include a salad or a variety of vegetables with lunch or dinner.

To achieve the greatest appetite suppression, take the vegetables at the beginning of the meal so that you begin to feel satiated as soon as possible.

As most people are not used to eating vegetables for breakfast we advise one or two tablespoons of ground flax seeds or flax seed cereal (ground flax seeds are available at most health food stores). Flaxseeds can be added to cereal or to a yogurt with fruit and/or a protein shake.

Be sure to drink eight to ten ounces of water after consuming flaxseeds.

Remember also that it is best to take fiber supplements at least two hours before or after taking vitamin and mineral supplements and pharmaceutical drugs, as they can impair the absorption of nutrients and medications.
